Rhode Island Recap ⛵
Our Rhode Island itinerary and favorites!

Welcome back, Lovelies!
Our recent adventure to Rhode Island was nothing short of unforgettable! From charming coastal towns and historic landmarks to fresh seafood and scenic ocean views, Rhode Island delivered on every front. Here’s a quick look back at the highlights from our trip — and a few favorites you have to hit if you’re headed there yourself!

1. Nitro Bar
If you're in Newport, The Nitro Bar is a must-visit for both its viral drinks and tasty breakfast options. Their viral matcha lattes are a standout, offering a refreshing twist on the classic, and their breakfast offerings are equally impressive. The breakfast sandwich and the pizza bagel were our favs!
2. Drift Cafe
Drift Cafe in Newport is a delightful spot for a quick and delicious breakfast. Their matcha lattes are too good — pair it with their all-day breakfast options like the sweet potato hash or the bagel for a satisfying meal. The cozy, beachy interior with hanging chairs and vibrant decor adds to the charm, making it a perfect place to start your day.

3. Luke’s Lobster
The little flight of lobster rolls was absolutely delicious—and just too cute not to mention! Each mini roll showcased a different flavor profile, with cold, mayo-dressed lobster and buttery grilled bread that captured the best of New England style. It was one of those simple thrills that perfectly summed up the fun, foodie spirit of our Rhode Island adventure.
4. Clarke Cooke House
Clarke Cooke House came highly recommended by so many locals—and it lived up to the hype! Their renowned summer sushi was a standout, served right by the harbor with fresh, local seafood in a lively but elegant setting. The ambiance—complete with nautical-themed decor, multiple dining rooms overlooking the water, and excellent service—made for a perfect evening! This iconic Newport institution blends historic charm with modern vibes and incredible cuisine!

5. The White Horse Tavern
Our dinner at The White Horse Tavern in Newport quickly became a highlight of our trip—not just for the food, but for the history and impeccable service. Housed in America’s oldest restaurant, the atmosphere feels like stepping into another era. The menu featured standout dishes like perfectly seared local seafood and decadent Beef Wellington, all paired with an award‑winning wine list.

6. Flora
Flora was a delicious dinner spot with a perfect mix of great food and beautiful ambiance. The views of the harbor added something really special to the evening, especially as the sun started to set. It was one of those places where everything just came together perfectly!
7. Castle Hill
Castle Hill was definitely worth a visit for both the drinks and the stunning view. We enjoyed cocktails while watching sailboats drift by and the sun begin to set over the water. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind. It felt like a little slice of coastal luxury!

8. Boat Day with Latitude 41
Our boat day with Latitude 41 was hands-down our favorite daytime activity of the trip. Cruising along the Rhode Island coast was both relaxing and breathtaking, with beautiful views of the shoreline and historic landmarks. The crew was friendly and made the whole experience easy and fun. It was the perfect way to soak up the sun and enjoy the water!
9. Mother’s Pizza
Mother’s Pizza was a yummy and charming spot we stumbled upon during our trip. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot after a day of exploring. The cozy, welcoming vibe of the place made it even better. It’s definitely a place we’d go back to!
10. Thrifting
Thrifting around town was such a fun part of the trip—there are so many great little shops to explore. Each one had its own charm, with a mix of vintage treasures, quirky finds, and local flair. I ended up finding a cute little lucky clover necklace that I absolutely love. It’s such a sweet souvenir and a perfect reminder of the trip!
11. Breakers and the Elms Mansions
Touring the mansions is a great way to spend a day in Rhode Island! We visited The Breakers and The Elms, two of the most iconic and beautifully preserved homes from the Gilded Age. Each one offered a fascinating glimpse into the extravagant lifestyles of the family and other wealthy elites of the era. The architecture, decor, and history were stunning and made for a memorable afternoon!
